It's Alive!!!

And now for your viewing pleasure...

I apologize for the poor quality of the video - I shot it in my basement and there are barely any lights down there but you get the idea. When I finally move the thing upstairs I'll be sure to post something a little nicer...with more light.

Enjoy!

EDIT: I said Windows 98 in the video but it is clearly Windows XP. Since this video I've removed virtually all evidence that there is a computer running things (there is no splash screen and the task bar hides almost instantaneously).

Wow that is really nice dude. Great job on it. How tall is that machine? You did a fantastic job on it. I been wanting to build a smaller than midsize cabinet for such a long time but just can't seem to find the time and I also wonder if I have the talent to do so. So wish I had one like that for my little daughter.

Great stuff

Thanks! The cabinet is about 50" tall. It is the perfect size for a kid to stand and play and for an adult to sit in a chair and play. It came out much better than I ever thought it would - if you take your time you could build something similar. I really just learned as I went.

Fantastic arcade machine! Your blog is a great read... I like the way you've included so many photos showing the different stages of the build. You must be a patient guy though, spending so much time on the paint and exterior. Worth every minute though, judging by the end result!
